Holistic Healing with Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy

stoneheartHeart-Centered Hypnotherapy (HCH) is a powerful modality used for transformational healing of body, mind, emotion, and spirit.  HCH can be used as a stand-alone modality, but is often used in the context of psychotherapy, or along with bodywork and energy healing modalities.

HCH is a synthesis of Humanistic Psychology techniques with hypnotherapy. Hypnotherapy has long been a technique for accessing the power of the unconscious mind for healing.  Humanistic Psychology, exemplified by Carl Rogers and Abraham Maslow, focused on the innate goodness in people, and their striving for personal growth and self-actualization.

HCH is a deep process that accesses the unconscious mind to release and transform:

  • Anxiety
  • Phobias
  • Trauma and PTSD
  • Depression
  • Shame
  • Addictions
  • Self-limiting beliefs
  • Negative relationship patterns
  • Adjustment to physical symptoms, acute and chronic health condition

A Heart-Centered Hypnotherapy session begins with a brief introduction of the client’s presenting issue, and an explanation of the process of HCH. The client is then guided into a very relaxed state that deepens into hypnosis. The client reviews the presenting problem while in the relaxed state of hypnosis, and identifies emotions and thoughts that emerge. The client is gently guided back in time to the source of these emotions and thoughts. This may be a situation that occurred a few years ago, or all the way back into childhood.  The subconscious body-mind holds information that may not be accessible to the conscious mind.

Deep emotions and buried conflicts may be uncovered. The emotions can be released and this allows new information to emerge. Negative core beliefs, or conclusions, can be released and transformed into new conclusions about how to exist and relate to the world.

During the entire process, the client is aware and in control of herself. Her new conclusions arise from her own wisdom. The new conclusions are anchored in the body-mind, and allow energy to flow that may give rise to a new sense of well-being, creativity, and empowerment. The client is given strategies to maintain access to this new-found energy and sense of empowerment.
